Christina Hill

I believe that there is hope to be found in any circumstance and that your story matters. Relationship difficulties and life circumstances are challenging to navigate alone and my desire is to offer life-changing tools, interventions, and resources to individuals, couples, and families. I would consider it an honor to hear your story and provide a safe place for you to feel seen, heard, and understood.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

I have worked in a private practice setting for over ten years and have past experience conducting assessments and leading process groups for children, adolescents, and adults in an intensive treatment mental health hospital. I received my Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Psychotherapy with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Adler Graduate School and my undergraduate degree in Christian Counseling from Northwestern College (now the University of Northwestern).

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). Both interventions assist in helping the brain and body process through and let go of the effects of past stressful experiences in an effort to promote trauma relief and improve overall functioning. I am also a Prepare/Enrich facilitator and can offer couples who are dating, engaged or married an assessment with included exercises to grow and improve their relationship.

My relationship with Jesus Christ is an integral part of the joy I find in counseling. It is my desire to honor each person I work with and meet them right where they are at, regardless of their spiritual beliefs or background. I offer an integration of biblical principles for those who welcome it and also incorporate interventions that are trauma-focused, multiculturally sensitive, goal-oriented, solution-focused, and strength-based. Creating a personalized treatment approach to meet the unique needs and goals of each person I work with is important to me. I am continually inspired by the process of transformation and consider it a privilege to witness the impact of a changed life.

Transformation is possible – you don’t have to stay stuck.
